World Physiotherapy Day – 8th September 2025
Active Ageing and Fall Prevention

On 8 September, World Physiotherapy Day is celebrated worldwide as an occasion to highlight the fundamental role of Physiotherapy and Physiotherapists in people’s lives. This year, World Physiotherapy—the global association that has promoted this observance since 1996—has chosen the theme: “The importance of physiotherapy and physical activity in healthy ageing”, with particular focus on preventing frailty and falls.

To mark this occasion, OFI Lazio is organising a meeting with students enrolled in Physiotherapy degree programmes across the Lazio region. The event will take place on 8th September 2025, starting at 2.00pm, in the Aula Magna of the UniCamillus Auditorium.

The meeting will serve as a valuable opportunity for discussion and exchange with future physiotherapy professionals in Lazio and beyond. The programme will address key topics related to active ageing, frailty prevention, and fall prevention, thanks to the collaboration of the Lazio regional section of AIFI, UniCamillus University, and the contribution of faculty members and representatives from academic institutions across the region.

The event is open to students and professionals from Physiotherapy degree programmes of all universities in Lazio.
