Donatella Padua


Associate Professor of General Sociology – SPS/07 in UniCamillus since November 2022, ASN qualified as Full Professor of Sociology, PhD in Science of Education.

Her research focuses on Digital Sociology, applying the topics of Digital Transformation, Digital Culture, of Social Complexity to the realm of Health (Digital Health Sociology) and analysing the Social Impact at global level, on organisations and within the relationship between doctor-patient and between individuals.

Researcher in Sociology since 2005 and Associate Professor since 2021 at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, she has multi-decennial English-speaking teaching experience in national universities (LUISS, LUISS Business School, Tor Vergata) and international universities (UEL, Imperial College, UK, Aix-en-Provence, France).

Scientific Director from 2012 to 2016 at Intelligent Positioning Research Centre (UK), she has been a Member of the Italian Ministry of University Technical Research Policies Secretariat and, from 2017 to 2020 Scientific Director of Futura Italia at the Italian Ministry of Education – Digital Innovation General Directorate.

Thanks to an intensive antecedent managerial and executive experience in multinationals and national companies in the nineties, from 2006 to 2022, she has covered positions of responsibility at the University for Foreigners of Perugia as Rector’s Delegate to the Third Mission, to International Relations and Communication, to the National Organisation of Universities Rectors, to International Relations and Communication, with direct responsibility for the launch of International Projects.

International Author of A-Ranked Journals, she publishes her Volumes and University Textbooks with Springer, SpringerNature, and Palgrave Macmillan. Member of Scientific and Doctoral Committees, she is an Expert Sociologist at Social Trends Institute (NY, Barcelona) and invited speaker at International Conventions.
