Associate Professor, University of Rome Tor Vergata – Director of the Complex Operative Unit of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery at Maria Cecilia Hospital in Cotignola (Ravenna, Italy) from January 2023 – SICOB EXCELLENCE CENTRE (Italian Society of Obesity Surgery). Dr. Paolo Gentileschi specialises in Surgery of the Digestive System and Digestive Endoscopy, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Laparoscopic and Mini-Invasive Surgery. Founding member of the Roman Laparoscopic Group (Lap Group Roma); Member of the Board of Directors: SICOB (Italian Society of Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Diseases), and registered, as of 1992, with the Provincial Order of Surgeons of Rome. Author of more than 3000 operations (3159) of major surgery as first operator, concerning oncological, endocrine, digestive and bariatric surgery. Elected to the role of Professor of I and II fascia by the National Commission 2012-2013 (valid until December 2019) and to the role of I fascia by the National Commission 2017- 2018 (valid until 07/09/2029)
